Miranda-s Tomb Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBDEFFEGH

MIRANDA She died soon and sick for homeA
And dark Ilario the MilaneseB
Carved her in garments 'scutcheoned to the kneesB
Holding one orchard spray as fresh as foamA
One heart broke many grieved Ilario saidC
'The summer is gone after her Who knowsB
If any season shall renew his roseB
But this rose lives till Beauty's self be dead 'D
So wrought he days and years and half awareE
Of a small striving sorrowing quick thingF
Wrapped in a furred sea cloak and deft to bringF
Tools to his hand or light to the dull airE
Ghost spirit flame he knew not could but tellG
It had loved her and its name was ArielH
