To Mother Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL MNIN OPQR

In the old Strauss waltz for the first timeA
We had listened to your quiet callB
Since then all the living things are alienC
And the knocking of the clock consolesD
-
We like you are gladly greeting sunsetsE
And are drunk on nearness of the endF
All with which on better nights we're wealthyG
Is put in the hearts by your own handH
-
Bowing to a child's dreams with no tireI
Only crescent looked in them indeedJ
Without you You have led your kids pastK
Bitter lifetime of the thoughts and deedsL
-
From the early age the sad one's close to usM
Laughter bores and home we left behindN
Our ship not in good times left the harborI
And it sails by will of every windN
-
Azure isle of childhood is palingO
On the deck of ship we stand aloneP
It appears oh mother to your daughtersQ
You've left an inheritance of woeR
