Warning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFGE FHHF IJJI IAAI

When enwrapped in rosy pleasureA
Our careless pulses beatB
With a rhythm sweet sweetB
To the music's merry measureA
-
When world waves rise around usC
With soft transparent weightD
Light in seeming yet so greatD
The liquid chains have bound usC
-
Then softly downward fallingE
If we listen we can hearF
From a purer atmosphereG
A warning and a callingE
-
'Tis not uttered to our earF
To our spirit it is spokenH
In the wonderful unbrokenH
Heavenly speech that spirits hearF
-
Strange and solemn doth it rollI
Downward like a yearning cryJ
From that belfry far on highJ
Warning calling to our soulI
-
Ever ever doth it rollI
Our angel guards the towerA
Ringing ringing every hourA
Warning calling to our soulI
