Summer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ACCA ADEA AFFA

Now sinks the Summer sun into the seaA
Sure never such a sunset shone as thisB
That on its golden wing has borne such blissB
Dear Love to thee and meA
-
Ah life was drear and lonely missing theeA
Though what my loss I did not then divineC
But all is past the sweet words thou art mineC
Make bliss for thee and meA
-
How swells the light breeze o'er the blossoming leaA
Sure never winds swept past so sweet and lowD
No lonely unblest future waiteth nowE
Dear Love for thee and meA
-
Look upward o'er the glowing West and seeA
Surely the star of evening never shoneF
With such a holy radiance oh my ownF
Heaven smiles on thee and meA
