Autumn Song Of The Swallow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBAA DADAAA EFEFAA

The sky is dark and the air is full of snowA
I go to a warmer clime afar and awayB
Though my heart is so tired I do not care for it nowC
But here in my empty nest I cannot stayB
Thus cried the swallowA
I go from the falling snow oh follow me oh followA
-
One night my mate came home with a broken wingD
So he died and my brood went long agoA
And I am alone and I have no heart to singD
With no one to hear my song and I must goA
Thus cried the swallowA
Away from dust and decay oh follow me oh followA
-
But I think I will never find so warm and safe a nestE
As my home in the pleasant days gone by gone byF
I think I shall never fold my wings in such happy restE
Never again oh never again till I dieF
Thus cried the swallowA
But I go from the falling snow oh follow me oh followA
