| nor the glass flowers at Harvard | D |
| Self reliant like the cat | E |
| that takes its prey to privacy | F |
| the mouse's limp tail hanging like a shoelace from its mouth | G |
| they sometimes enjoy solitude | H |
| and can be robbed of speech | I |
| by speech which has delighted them | J |
| The deepest feeling always shows itself in silence | K |
| not in silence but restraint | L |
| Nor was he insincere in saying 'Make my house your inn' | M |
| Inns are not residences | N |
