Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDE FAGHIJ KLCMN CGGOOP QRBNRG

I too dislike it there are things that are important beyond all this fiddleA
Reading it however with a perfect contempt for it one discovers that there is inB
it after all a place for the genuineC
Hands that can grasp eyesD
that can dilate hair that can riseD
if it must these things are important not because aE
-
high sounding interpretation can be put upon them but because they areF
useful when they become so derivative as to become unintelligibleA
the same thing may be said for all of us that weG
do not admire whatH
we cannot understand the batI
holding on upside down or in quest of something toJ
-
eat elephants pushing a wild horse taking a roll a tireless wolf underK
a tree the immovable critic twitching his skin like a horse that feels a flea the baseL
ball fan the statisticianC
nor is it validM
to discriminate against business documents andN
-
school books all these phenomena are important One must make a distinctionC
however when dragged into prominence by half poets the result is not poetryG
nor till the poets among us can beG
literalists ofO
the imagination aboveO
insolence and triviality and can presentP
-
for inspection imaginary gardens with real toads in them shall we haveQ
it In the meantime if you demand on one handR
the raw material of poetry inB
all its rawness andN
that which is on the other handR
genuine then you are interested in poetryG
