Whistler Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDEE

At the Exhibit in the Metropolitan Museum MarchA
-
So sharp the sword so airy the defenceB
As 'twere a play or delicate pretenceB
So fine and strange so subtly poised tooC
The egoist that looks forever throughC
-
That little spirit air and grace and fireD
A flutter at your frame is your desireD
No it is you who never knew the netE
Exquisite vain whom we shall not forgetE
