The Violinist Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCEDE

But that one air for all that throng And yetA
How wondrously the magic strain went throughB
Those thousand hearts I saw young eyes that knewB
Only the fairest sights grow dim and wetA
While eyes long fed on visions of regretA
Beheld life's rose upspringing from its rueB
For some the night wind in thy music blewB
For some the spring's celestial clarinetA
-
And each heart knew its own the poet heardC
Ravished the song his lips could never freeD
The girl her lover's swift impassioned wordC
The mother thought O little buried faceE
And one through veil of doubt and agonyD
Saw Christ alone in the dim garden placeE
