La Doleur De La Jeunessb Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD EBEBDD FBFBDD GHGHDD

Ah love why love you tearsA
What beauty in the rueB
Do you not know the yearsC
Shall bring their griefs to youB
To dew your nightly pillow ere you sleepD
Perchance hut let me weepD
-
No sorrow do you mournE
No cloud in heaven for youB
No graves have you forlornE
With salt tears to bestrewB
Nor any field of tares that you must reapD
Ah no Yet I would weepD
-
One day shall not your shipsF
Come sailing o'er the blueB
With fruit and spice for lipsF
And robes of many a hueB
And gems and gold for your white hands to keepD
Yet on the shore I weepD
-
Then I my harp will bringG
And sing your tears and ruthH
More sweet than songs of springG
Sweet bitterness of youthH
I will forget one hour that grief is deepD
And singing I will weepD
