A Greek Lyrist Sings Of Apollo Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BEBE

Ah it was he I heard at early dawnA
From the high hilltop and the dew wet hollowB
While I was yet as tender as a fawnA
Calling me FollowB
-
And it was he who spoke at sultry noonC
By the bright pool when Dian was awayD
Frail is your harp as is the crescent moonC
Yet shall you playD
-
Still do I hear that calling ApolloB
Though it is far and failing is the lightE
Lo you are spent but you shall rise and followB
Into the nightE
