Flying Inside Your Own Body Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGHIJKLMHNN

Your lungs fill spread themselvesA
wings of pink blood and your bonesB
empty themselves and become hollowC
When you breathe in you ll lift like a balloonD
and your heart is light too hugeE
beating with pure joy pure heliumF
The sun s white winds blow through youG
there s nothing above youG
you see the earth now as an oval jewelH
radiant seablue with loveI
It s only in dreams you can do thisJ
Waking your heart is a shaken fistK
a fine dust clogs the air you breathe inL
the sun s a hot copper weight pressing straightM
down on the think pink rind of your skullH
It s always the moment just before gunshotN
You try try to rise but you cannotN
