Bored Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFAGHIJCKHLMHCNH CCCOPHQRMMSTUVWMAXW

All those times I was boredA
out of my mind Holding the logB
while he sawed it HoldingC
the string while he measured boardsD
distances between things or poundedE
stakes into the ground for rows and rowsF
of lettuces and beets which I then boredA
weeded Or sat in the backG
of the car or sat still in boatsH
sat sat while at the prow stern wheelI
he drove steered paddled ItJ
wasn't even boredom it was lookingC
looking hard and up close at the smallK
details Myopia The worn gunwalesH
the intricate twill of the seatL
cover The acid crumbs of loam the granularM
pink rock its igneous veins the sea fansH
of dry moss the blackish and then the grayingC
bristles on the back of his neckN
Sometimes he would whistle sometimesH
I would The boring rhythm of doingC
things over and over carryingC
the wood dryingC
the dishes Such minutiae It's whatO
the animals spend most of their time atP
ferrying the sand grain by grain from their tunnelsH
shuffling the leaves in their burrows He pointedQ
such things out and I would lookR
at the whorled texture of his square finger earth underM
the nail Why do I remember it as sunnierM
all the time then although it more oftenS
rained and more birdsongT
I could hardly wait to getU
the hell out of there toV
anywhere else Perhaps thoughW
boredom is happier It is for dogs orM
groundhogs Now I wouldn't be boredA
Now I would know too muchX
Now I would knowW
