When Spring Comes Down The Wildwood Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACAAB DEDEDDE FGFGFFG HIHIHHI

When Spring comes down the wildwood wayA
A crocus in her earB
Sweet in her train returned with MayA
The Love of Yester yearC
Will follow carolling his layA
His lyric layA
Whose music she will hearB
-
The crowfoot in the grass shall glowD
And lamp his way with goldE
The snowdropp toss its bells of snowD
The bluebell's blue unfoldE
To glad the path that Love shall goD
High hearted goD
As often in the days of oldE
-
The way he went when hope was keenF
Was high in girl and boyG
Before the sad world came betweenF
Their young hearts and their joyG
Their hearts that Love has still kept cleanF
Kept whole and cleanF
Through all the years' annoyG
-
How long it seems until the springH
Until his heart shall speakI
To hers again and make it singH
And with its great joy weakI
When on her hand he'll place the ringH
The wedding ringH
And kiss her mouth and cheekI
