Voyagers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABA CDEEE FGHGF IJIJI KBKBK LILIM

Where are they that song and taleA
Tell of lands our childhood knewB
Sea locked Faerylands that trailA
Morning summits dim with dewB
Crimson o'er a crimson sailA
-
Where in dreams we entered onC
Wonders eyes have never seenD
Whither often we have goneE
Sailing a dream brigantineE
On from voyaging dawn to dawnE
-
Leons seeking lands of songF
Fabled fountains pouring sprayG
Where our anchors dropped amongH
Corals of some tropic bayG
With its swarthy native throngF
-
Shoulder ax and arquebusI
We may find it past yon rangeJ
Of sierras vaporousI
Rich with gold and wild and strangeJ
That lost region dear to usI
-
Yet behold although our zealK
Darien summits may subdueB
Our Balboa eyes revealK
But a vaster sea come toB
New endeavor for our keelK
-
Yet who sails with face set hardL
Westward while behind him liesI
Unfaith where his dreams keep guardL
Round it in the sunset skiesI
He may reach it afterwardM
