Trees Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCBCADEADC

'Trees ' so he said and laid him lovinglyA
At a great beech tree's root 'are my best friendsB
Upon their love it seems my life dependsB
No dog or woman for me Give me a treeA
In winter saying ' Courage hold to me 'C
In spring ' Look up hope's here and winter ends 'C
In summer 'Come here's peace that naught transcendsB
In autumn ' See the dreams I bring to thee 'C
Why I have loved a tree until for meA
It had a soul And as the Greeks believedD
So I believe that in each dwells a lifeE
Lovely ecstatic that some man may seeA
Take on material form and so perceivedD
Hold him for aye That's why I have no wife 'C
