Topsy Turvy is her nameA
She's a curiosityB
Never sees the world the sameA
As it seems to you and meB
-
'All the world is upside down '-
So she says then with a frownC
'If it's not it ought to be '-
Topsy Turvy Topsy TurvyB
-
Takes you to some old wood poolD
Or some well to prove she's rightE
'There's the real world you foolD
Something's wrong with people's sightE
-
There's the sky the clouds the woodF
There you see them as you shouldF
If you don't it's out of spite '-
Topsy Turvy Topsy TurvyB
-
'You are walking on your headsG
And don't know it but it's trueH
You don't lie down in your bedsG
But your beds lie down on youH
-
You are under them The sunI
Moon and stars are every oneI
Shining underneath you too '-
Topsy Turvy Topsy TurvyB
-
'Seems that no one else can seeB
As I see it It's a shameA
Or your own perversityB
But good Lord I'm not to blameA
-
Don't know what you miss you don'tJ
By not seeing things you won'tJ
My how fine they look to me '-
Topsy Turvy Topsy TurvyB
-
Then she runs away and hidesK
By a creek and looks for hoursL
In the water where it slidesK
At herself the trees and flowersL
-
Sun and skies and clouds and ifM
You just laugh she gives a sniffM
Shakes her head and glares and glowersL
