To One Reading The Morte D'arthure Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCB DCDCDC CECECE EEEEEE

O daughter of our Southern sunA
Sweet sister of each flowerB
Dost dream in terraced AvalonC
A shadow haunted hourB
Or stand with Guinevere uponC
Some ivied Camelot towerB
-
Or in the wind dost breathe the muskD
That blows Tintagel's sea onC
Or 'mid the lists by castled UskD
Hear some wild tourney's p onC
Or 'neath the Merlin moons of duskD
Dost muse in old C rleonC
-
Or now of Launcelot and thenC
Of Arthur 'mid the rosesE
Dost speak with wily VivienC
Or where the shade reposesE
Dost walk with stately armored menC
In marble fountained closesE
-
So speak the dreams within thy gazeE
The dreams thy spirit cagesE
Would that Romance which on thee laysE
The spell of bygone agesE
Held me a memory of those daysE
A portion of its pagesE
