The World's Desire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAA ABAAB CDCCD EFEEF

The roses of voluptuousnessA
Wreathe her dark locks and hide her eyesA
Her limbs are flower like nakednessA
Wherethrough the fragrant blood doth pressA
The blossom blood of ParadiseA
-
She stands with Lilith finger tipsA
With Lilith hands and gathers upB
The wild wine of all life and sipsA
With Lilith laughter lightened lipsA
The soul as from a crystal cupB
-
What though she cast the cup awayC
The empty bowl that flashed with wineD
Her curled lips' kiss that stained the clayC
Her fingers' touch shall not these stayC
That made its nothingness divineD
-
Through one again shall live the glowE
Immortalizing of her touchF
And through the other sweet to knowE
How life swept flame once 'neath the snowE
Of her mooned breasts and this is muchF
