The Witch Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEECD

She gropes and hobbies where the dropsied rocksA
Are hairy with the lichens and the twistB
Of knotted wolf's bane mumbling in the mistB
Hawk nosed and wrinkle eyed with scrawny locksA
At her bent back the sick faced moonlight mocksA
Like some lewd evil whom the Fiend hath kissedB
Thrice at her feet the slipping serpent hissedB
And thrice the owl called to the forest foxA
What sabboth brew dost now intend What rootC
Dost seek for seal for what satanic spellD
Of incantations and demoniac fireE
From thy rude hut hill huddled in the brierE
What dark familiar points thy sure pursuitC
With burning eyes gaunt with the glow of HellD
