And nowhere would abide | B |
It whispered in my ear a word | D |
So sweet a word I swear | E |
It smelt of honey and the kiss | F |
It'd stolen from her hair | E |
Then shouted me the flowery way | G |
Whereon she walked with dreams | H |
And bade me wait and watch her pass | I |
Among the glooms and gleams | H |
It ran to meet her as she came | J |
And clasped her to its breast | K |
It kissed her throat her chin her mouth | L |
And laughed its merriest | K |
