The Voice Of Ocean Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBCDEFDEF

A cry went through the darkness and the moonA
Hurrying through storm gazed with a ghastly faceB
Then cloaked herself in scud the merman raceB
Of surges ceased and then th' Aeolian croonA
Of the wild siren Wind within the shroudsC
Sunk to a sigh The ocean in that placeB
Seemed listening haunted for a moment's spaceB
By something dread that cried against the cloudsC
Mystery and night and with them fog and rainD
And then that cry again as if the deepE
Uttered its loneliness in one dark wordF
Her horror of herself her Titan painD
Her monsters and the dead that she must keepE
Has kept alone for centuries unheardF
