The Vampire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HIJI KLKL MNMN

A lily in a twilight placeA
A moonflow'r in the lonely nightB
Strange beauty of a woman's faceA
Of wildflow'r whiteB
-
The rain that hangs a star's green rayC
Slim on a leaf point's restlessnessD
Is not so glimmering green and grayC
As was her dressE
-
I drew her dark hair from her eyesF
And in their deeps beheld a whileG
Such shadowy moonlight as the skiesF
Of Hell may smileG
-
She held her mouth up redly wanH
And burning cold I bent and kissedI
Such rosy snow as some wild dawnJ
Makes of a mistI
-
God shall not take from me that hourK
When round my neck her white arms clungL
When 'neath my lips like some fierce flowerK
Her white throat swungL
-
Or words she murmured while she leanedM
Witch words she holds me softly byN
The spell that binds me to a fiendM
Until I dieN
