The Tryst Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAB CDEDED FGFGFG AAAAAA

Had fallen a fragrant showerA
The leaves were dripping yetB
Each fern and rain weighed flowerA
Around were gleaming wetB
On ev'ry bosky bowerA
A million gems were setB
-
The dust's moist odors siftedC
Cool with the summer rainD
Mixed with the musk that driftedE
From orchard and from plainD
Her garden's fence white liftedE
Its length along the laneD
-
The moon the clouds had shatteredF
In curdled peaks of pearlG
The honeysuckle scatteredF
Warm odors from each curlG
Where the white moonlight flatteredF
Hung molten 'round a girlG
-
Then grew the night completerA
With light and cloud and airA
Aromas sweet blew sweeterA
Sweet flowers fair more fairA
Fleet feet and fast grew fleeterA
Thro' that fair sorceress thereA
