Over the rocks she trails her locksA
Her mossy locks that drip drip dripB
Her sparkling eyes smile at the skiesC
In friendship wise and fellowshipB
While the gleam and glance of her countenanceD
Lull into trance the woodland placesE
As over the rocks she trails her locksA
Her dripping locks that the long fern gracesF

She pours clear ooze from her heart's cool cruseG
Its crystal cruse that drips drips dripsH
And all the day its limpid sprayI
Is heard to play from her finger tipsH
And the slight soft sound makes haunted groundJ
Of the woods around that the sunlight lacesE

She swims and swims with glimmering limbsK
With lucid limbs that drip drip dripB
Where beechen boughs build a leafy houseL
Where her eyes may drowse or her beauty tripB
And the liquid beat of her rippling feetM
Makes three times sweet the forest mazesF

Then wrapped in deeps of the wild she sleepsK
She whispering sleeps and drips drips dripsK
Where moon and mist wreathe neck and wristN
And starry whist through the dark she slipsK
While the heavenly dream of her soul makes gleamO
The falls that stream and the foam that racesK
As wrapped in the deeps of the wild she sleepsK
She dripping sleeps or starward gazesK
