The Solitary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Upon the mossed rock by the springA
She sits forgetful of her pailB
Lost in remote rememberingA
Of that which may no more availB
-
Her thin pale hair is dimly dressedC
Above a brow lined deep with careD
The color of a leaf long pressedC
A faded leaf that once was fairD
-
You may not know her from the stoneE
So still she sits who does not stirF
Thinking of this one thing aloneE
The love that never came to herF
