The Sea Spirit Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBDB EFEB GBGB HGHB IBIB

Ah me I shall not waken soonA
From dreams of such divinityB
A spirit singing 'neath the moonA
To meB
-
Wild sea spray driven of the stormC
Is not so wildly white as sheB
Who beckoned with a foam white armD
To meB
-
With eyes dark green and golden greenE
Long locks that rippled drippinglyF
Out of the green wave she did leanE
To meB
-
And sang till Earth and Heaven seemedG
A far forgotten memoryB
And more than Heaven in her who gleamedG
On meB
-
Sleep sweeter than love's face or homeH
And death's immutabilityG
And music of the plangent foamH
For meB
-
Sweep over her with all thy shipsI
With all thy stormy tides O seaB
The memory of immortal lipsI
For meB
