Rhyme Scheme: AABBAACBDAABBAD

The rose of Hope how rich and redA
It blooms and will bloom on 't is saidA
Since Eve in Eden days gone byB
Plucked it on Adam's heart to lieB
When out of Paradise they fledA
With Sorrow and o'erwhelming DreadA
It was this flower that comfortedC
This Rose of Hope that can not dieB
God's Rose of HopeD
When darkness comes and you are ledA
To think that Hope at last is deadA
Take down your Bible read and tryB
To see the light and by and byB
Hope's rose will lift again its headA
God's Rose of HopeD
