The New God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAABBBCD

I look about me and beholdA
How all is changed The sound and saneB
The kind the true the hale and oldA
That once made strong the features plainB
Of life are cast in other moldA
That bears the stamp of greed and goldA
A god unclean who drags a chainB
Of jewelled lust which men call GainB
Binding their hearts to all that's vainB
That God at last for punishmentC
Shall curse with woe and discontentD
