She sits upon the tomb of Time and quaffs | C |
Heart's blood and laughs | C |
At all Life calls most noble and the truth | D |
The fire of conquest and the wine of dreams | C |
Are in her veins and in her eyes the lure | E |
Of things unsure | E |
Urging the world forever to extremes | C |
Without her Life would stagnate in a while | F |
Her touch it is puts pleasure even in pain | G |
So Life attain | G |
Her end she cares not if the means be vile | F |
She knows no pity mercy or remorse | C |
Hers is to build and then exterminate | H |
To slay create | H |
And twixt the two maintain an equal course | C |
