Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDCCDCEECFGGFCHHC

SINCE Man first lifted up his eyes to hersA
And saw her vampire beauty which is lustB
All else is dustB
Within the compass of the universeC
With heart of Jael and with face of RuthD
She sits upon the tomb of Time and quaffsC
Heart's blood and laughsC
At all Life calls most noble and the truthD
The fire of conquest and the wine of dreamsC
Are in her veins and in her eyes the lureE
Of things unsureE
Urging the world forever to extremesC
Without her Life would stagnate in a whileF
Her touch it is puts pleasure even in painG
So Life attainG
Her end she cares not if the means be vileF
She knows no pity mercy or remorseC
Hers is to build and then exterminateH
To slay createH
And twixt the two maintain an equal courseC
