The Grasshopper Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCDEEFGH

The grasshopper that sang its sleepy songA
All summer longA
The orchard lands and harvest fields amongB
Taking no heed of aught save its own joyC
Without alloyC
Cheering the ear with its 'Ahoy ahoy 'D
A merry note of summer's self a partE
Like my old heartE
Is silent now and cold its singing doneF
The grasshopper's a cold and summer's goneG
And I'm aloneH
