Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ JKJK LMLM ALAL

Not while I live may I forgetA
That garden which my spirit trodB
Where dreams were flowers wild and wetA
And beautiful as GodB
-
Not while I breathe awake adreamC
Shall live again for me those hoursD
When in its mystery and gleamC
I met her 'mid the flowersD
-
Eyes talismanic heliotropeE
Beneath mesmeric lashes whereF
The sorceries of love and hopeE
Had made a shining lairF
-
And daydawn brows whereover hungG
The twilight of dark locks wild birdsH
Her lips that spoke the rose's tongueG
Of fragrance voweled wordsH
-
I will not tell of cheeks and chinI
That held me as sweet language holdsJ
Nor of the eloquence withinI
Her breasts' twin mooned moldsJ
-
Nor of her body's languorousJ
Wind grace that glanced like starlight throughK
Her clinging robe's diaphanousJ
Web of the mist and dewK
-
There is no star so pure and highL
As was her look no fragrance suchM
As her soft presence and no sighL
Of music like her touchM
-
Not while I live may I forgetA
That garden of dim dreams where IL
And Beauty born of Music metA
Whose spirit passed me byL
