The Festival Of The Aisne Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDFGHGI

IMPERIAL Madness will of handA
Builds vast an altar here and rearsB
Before the world on godly landA
A Moloch form of blood and tearsC
And far as eye can see beholdD
Priests plunge into its brazen armsE
Men that its iron maw of moldD
Mangles returning horrible formsF
Its Priests are armies moving slowG
And crowned like kings in human guiseH
And theirs it is to make it flowG
The crimson stream of sacrificeI
