The Death Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADEFDGF

So Love is dead the Love we knew of oldA
And in the sorrow of our hearts' hushed hallsB
A lute lies broken and a flower fallsB
Love's house stands empty and his hearth lies coldA
Lone in dim places where sweet vows were toldA
In walks grown desolate by ruined wallsB
Beauty decays and on their pedestalsC
Dreams crumble and th' immortal gods are moldA
Music is slain or sleeps one voice aloneD
One voice awakes and like a wandering ghostE
Haunts all the echoing chambers of the PastF
The voice of Memory that stills to stoneD
The soul that hears the mind that utterly lostG
Before its beautiful presence stands aghastF
