The Covered Bridge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACBADEFGGF

There from its entrance lost in matted vinesA
Where in the valley foams a water fallB
Is glimpsed a ruined mill's remaining wallB
Here by the road the oxeye daisy minesA
Hot brass and bronze the trumpet trailer shinesA
Red as the plumage of the cardinalC
Faint from the forest comes the rain crow's callB
Where dusty Summer dreams among the pinesA
This is the spot where Spring writes wildflower versesD
In primrose pink while drowsing o'er his reinsE
The ploughman all unnoticing plods alongF
And where the Autumn opens weedy pursesG
Of sleepy silver while the corn heaped wainsG
Rumble the bridge like some deep throat of songF
