The Battle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDADEFGF

BLACK clouds hung low and heavyA
Above the sunset glareB
And in the garden dimlyA
We wandered here and thereB
So full of strife of troubleC
The night was dark afraidD
Like our own love so merelyA
For tears and sighings madeD
That when it came to partingE
And I must mount and goF
With all my soul I wished itG
That God would lay me lowF
