The Artist Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

In story books when I was very youngA
I knew you first one of the Fairy RaceB
And then it was your picture took its placeB
Framed in with love's deep gold and draped and hungA
High in my heart's red room no song was sungA
No tale of passion told I did not graceB
With your associated form and faceB
And intimated charm of touch and tongueA
As years went on you grew to more and moreC
Until each thing symbolic to my heartD
Of beauty such as honor truth and fameE
Within the studio of my soul's thought woreC
Your lineaments whom I with all my artD
Strove to embody and to give a nameE
