Sunset Clouds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HGHG IJIJ

Low clouds the lightning veins and cleavesA
Torn from the forest of the stormB
Sweep westward like enormous leavesA
O'er field and farmC
-
And in the west on burning skiesD
Their wrath is quenched their hate is hushedE
And deep their drifted thunder liesD
With splendor flushedE
-
The black turns gray the gray turns goldF
And seaed in deeps of radiant roseG
Summits of fire manifoldF
They now reposeG
-
What dreams they bring what thoughts revealH
That have their source in lovelinessG
Through which the doubts I often feelH
Grow less and lessG
-
Through which I see that other nightI
That cloud called Death transformed of LoveJ
To flame and pointing with its lightI
To life aboveJ
