Snow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG

The moon like a round deviceA
On a shadowy shield of warB
Hangs white in a heaven of iceA
With a solitary starC
-
The wind is sunk to a sighD
And the waters are stern with frostE
And gray in the eastern skyD
The last snow cloud is lostE
-
White fields that are winter starvedF
Black woods that are winter fraughtG
Cold harsh as a face death carvedF
With the iron of some black thoughtG
