Rhyme Scheme: A BCDC EFEF GHGH EIEI JKJK

-
Ha help 'twas palpableB
A ghost that throngedC
Up from the mind or hellD
Of one I wrongedC
-

-
'Tis past and silence naughtE
A vision bornF
Of the scared mind o'erwroughtE
With dreams forlornF
-
-

-
The bastard brood of DeathG
And Sleep that wakesH
Grim fancies with its breathG
And reason shakesH
-

-
Would that the grave could rotE
Like flesh the soulI
Gnaw through with worms and notE
Leave it thus wholeI
-

-
More than it was in earthJ
Beyond the graveK
Much more in death than birthJ
To conscience slaveK
