Spake this From Sodomite to PeriB
Earth tablets us we live and areB
Man's own long commentaryB

Is one begat in BassoraB
One lies in Damietta dyingC
The plausibilities of GodD
All possibles o'erlyingC

But burns the lust within the fleshE
Hell's but a homily to HeavenF
Put then the individual firstG
And of thyself be shrivenF
-
Neither in adamant nor brassH
The scrutinizing eye records itI
The arm is rooted in the heartJ
The heart that rules and lords itI
-
Be that it is and thou art allK
And what thou art so thou hast writtenF
Thee of the lutanists of LoveL
Or of the torture smittenF
