Proem. To Myth And Romance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEFGGG

There is no rhyme that is half so sweetA
As the song of the wind in the rippling wheatA
There is no metre that's half so fineB
As the lilt of the brook under rock and vineB
And the loveliest lyric I ever heardC
Was the wildwood strain of a forest birdC
If the wind and the brook and the bird would teachD
My heart their beautiful parts of speechD
And the natural art that they say these withE
My soul would sing of beauty and mythF
In a rhyme and a metre that none beforeG
Have sung in their love or dreamed in their loreG
And the world would be richer one poet the moreG
