Proem. To Myth And Romance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEFGGGThere is no rhyme that is half so sweet | A |
As the song of the wind in the rippling wheat | A |
There is no metre that's half so fine | B |
As the lilt of the brook under rock and vine | B |
And the loveliest lyric I ever heard | C |
Was the wildwood strain of a forest bird | C |
If the wind and the brook and the bird would teach | D |
My heart their beautiful parts of speech | D |
And the natural art that they say these with | E |
My soul would sing of beauty and myth | F |
In a rhyme and a metre that none before | G |
Have sung in their love or dreamed in their lore | G |
And the world would be richer one poet the more | G |
