Poe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECEC

Upon the summit of his CenturyA
He reared a Palace of enduring ArtB
From whose wild windows never more departB
Beauty's pale light and starry fantasyA
Within is music sobbing ceaselesslyA
And phantom terror spectres of the heartB
And ghosts of grief and love that ever startB
From haunted places fleeing what none may seeA
Around its towers the bird that never diesC
Circles the tempest beats with black alarmD
On one red window where beyond the stormE
The Lord of that high Palace dreams and sighsC
His Soul with its Despair a kingly formE
And Death with infinite pity in his eyesC
