Pastures By The Sea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Here where the coves indent the shore and fallA
And fill with ebb and flowing of the tidesB
Whereon some barge rocks or some dory ridesB
By which old orchards bloom or from the wallA
Pelt every lane with fruit where gardens tallA
With roses riot swift my gladness glidesB
To that old pasture where the mushroom hidesB
The chicory blooms and Peace sits mid them allA
Fenced in with rails and rocks its emerald slopesC
Ribbed with huge granite where the placid cowsD
Tinkle a browsing bell roll to a heightE
Wherefrom the sea bright as adventuring hopesC
Swept of white sails and plowed of foaming prowsD
Leaps like a Nereid on the ravished sightE
