Old Sir John Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCCEC

Bald with old eyes a blood shot blue he comesA
Into the Boar's Head Inn the hot sweat streaksB
His fulvous face and all his raiment reeksB
Of all the stews and all the Eastcheap slumsA
Upon the battered board again he drumsA
And croaks for sack then sits his harsh haired cheeksB
Sunk in his hands rough with the grime of weeksB
While 'round the tap one great bluebottle humsA
All all are gone the old companions theyC
Who made his rogue's world merry of them allD
Not one is left Old toothless now and grayC
Alone he waits the swagger of that dayC
Gone from his bulk departed even as DollE
And he his Hal who broke his heart they sayC
