No ra when sad FallA
Has grayed the fallowB
Leaf cramped the wood brook's brawlA
In pool and shallowB
When by the woodside tallA
Stands sere the mallowB
-
No ra when gray goldC
And golden grayD
The crackling hollows foldC
By every wayD
Shall I thy face beholdC
Dear bit of MayD
-
When webs are cribs for dewE
And gossamersF
Streak by you silver blueE
When silence stirsF
One leaf of rusty hueE
Among the burrsF
-
No ra through the woodG
Or through the grainH
Come with the hoiden moodI
Of wind and rainH
Fresh in thy sunny bloodJ
Sweetheart againK
-
No ra when the cornL
Reaped on the fieldsF
The asters' stars adornL
And purple shieldsF
Of ironweeds lie tornL
Among the wealdsF
-
No ra haply thenK
Thou being with meM
Each ruined greenwood glenK
Will bud and beM
Spring's with the spring againK
The spring in theeM
-
Thou of the breezy treadN
Feet of the breezeF
Thou of the sunbeam headN
Heart like a bee'sF
Face like a woodland bredN
Anemone'sF
-
Thou to October bringO
An April partP
Come make the wild birds singO
The blossoms startP
No ra with the springO
Wild in thy heartP
-
Come with our golden yearQ
Come as its goldC
With the same laughing clearQ
Loved voice of oldC
In thy cool hair one dearQ
Wild marigoldC
