Nocturne Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAAB CBCCCB DADDDA EBEEEB FGFFFH CACCCA

A disc of violet blueA
Rimmed with a thorn of fireB
The new moon hangs in a sky of dewA
And under the vines where the sunset's hueA
Is blent with blossoms first one then twoA
Begins the cricket's choirB
-
Bright blurs of golden whiteC
And points of silvery glimmerB
The first stars wink in the web of nightC
And through the flowers the moths take flightC
In the honeysuckle colored lightC
Where the shadowy shrubs grow dimmerB
-
Soft through the dim and dying eveD
Sweet through the dusk and dewA
Come while the hours their witchcraft weaveD
Dim in the House of the Soul's Sweet LeaveD
Here in the pale and perfumed eveD
Here where I wait for youA
-
A great dark radiant roseE
Dripping with starry glowerB
Is the night whose bosom overflowsE
With the balsam musk of the breeze that blowsE
Into the heart as each one knowsE
Of every nodding flowerB
-
A voice that sighs and sighsF
Then whispers like a spiritG
Is the wind that kisses the drowsy eyesF
Of the primrose open and rocking liesF
In the lily's cradle and soft untiesF
The rosebud's crimson near itH
-
Sweet through the deep and dreaming nightC
Soft through the dark and dewA
Come where the moments their magic writeC
Deep in the Book of the Heart's DelightC
Here in the hushed and haunted nightC
Here where I wait for youA
