My Romance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAA AAAA CDCD EAFA AAAA AGAG HIHI

If it so befalls that the midnight hoversA
In mist no moonlight breaksB
The leagues of the years my spirit coversA
And my self myself forsakesA
-
And I live in a land of stars and flowersA
White cliffs by a silvery seaA
And the pearly points of her opal towersA
From the mountains beckon meA
-
And I think that I know that I hear her callingC
From a casement bathed with lightD
Through music of waters in waters fallingC
Mid palms from a mountain heightD
-
And I feel that I think my love's awaitedE
By the romance of her charmsA
That her feet are early and mine belatedF
In a world that chains my armsA
-
But I break my chains and the rest is easyA
In the shadow of the roseA
Snow white that blooms in her garden breezyA
We meet and no one knowsA
-
And we dream sweet dreams and kiss sweet kissesA
The world it may live or dieG
The world that forgets that never missesA
The life that has long gone byG
-
We speak old vows that have long been spokenH
And weep a long gone woeI
For you must know our hearts were brokenH
Hundreds of years agoI
