Mother Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDBA EEFFGGHE IJKKCCII ABEELLBA

Oh I am going home againA
Back to the old house in the laneB
And mother who still sits and sewsC
With cheeks each one a winter roseC
A watching for her boy you knowD
Who left so many years agoD
To face the world its stress and strainB
Oh I am going home againA
-
Yes I am going home once moreE
And mother 'll meet me at the doorE
With smiles that rainbow tears of joyF
And arms that reach out for her boyF
And draw him to her happy breastG
On which awhile his head he 'll restG
And care no more if rich or poorH
At home with her at home once moreE
-
Yes I am going home to herI
Whose welcome evermore is sureJ
I have been thinking night and dayK
How tired I am of being awayK
How homesick for her gentle faceC
And welcome of the oldtime placeC
And memories of the days that wereI
Oh I am going home to herI
-
Oh just to see her face againA
A smiling at the windowpaneB
To see her standing at the doorE
And offering her arms once moreE
As oft she did when just a childL
She took me to her heart and smiledL
And hushed my cry and cured my painB
I'm going home to her againA
