Moly Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFEGHHII JKJK LMNO PQPQRRSS

When by the wall the tiger flower swingsA
A head of sultry slumber and aromaB
And by the path whereon the blown rose flingsA
Its obsolete beauty the long lilies foam aB
White place of perfume like a beautiful breastC
Between the pansy fire of the westC
And poppy mist of moonrise in the eastD
This heartache will have ceasedD
-
The witchcraft of soft music and sweet sleepE
Let it beguile the burthen from my spiritF
And white dreams reap me as strong reapers reapE
The ripened grain and full blown blossom near itG
Let me behold how gladness gives the wholeH
The transformed countenance of my own soulH
Between the sunset and the risen moonI
Let sorrow vanish soonI
-
And these things then shall keep me companyJ
The elfins of the dew the spirit of laughterK
Who haunts the wind the god of melodyJ
Who sings within the stream that reaches afterK
-
The flow'rs that rock themselves to his caressL
These of themselves shall shape my happinessM
Whose visible presence I shall lean uponN
Feeling that care is goneO
-
Forgetting how the cankered flower must dieP
The worm pierced fruit fall sicklied to its syrupQ
How joy begotten 'twixt a sigh and sighP
Waits with one foot forever in the stirrupQ
Remembering how within the hollow luteR
Soft music sleeps when music's voice is muteR
And in the heart when all seems black despairS
Hope sits awaiting thereS
